Vale Benito Kavo

Benito (Benny) Kavo passed away on Wednesday 24th July aged 86 after a difficult period with dementia.

Benny made a huge contribution to Southern Alps, joining in December 1970.

He became involved in the Juniors and was a Club Vice President. Benny was a Lodge Coop Director from 1975 to 2016 and made huge contribution to the rebuilding of Christiania after it was destroyed by fire. Benny was recognised with life membership bestowed in 1980.

Benny also had roles with the Thredbo Volunteer Ski Patrol.

A celebration of Benito Kavo's life will be held at Macquarie Park Crematorium, North Ryde on Thursday 1st August 2024 in the Palm Chapel at 12:15pm, followed by a wake.
