Junior Bus Trip
The trip at the end of June made the most of the snow conditions - like all resorts this year Charlotte Pass was affected by a lack of natural snow. The resort team did everything possible to extend the ski area. In the end there was enough to test the kids and select the squad to train at Perisher.
Thanks to the trip supervisors, Lodge managers Chris and Ally and the Charlotte Pass Staff for ensuring the success of our trip.
Junior Race team
The race team members selected during the bus trip to train at Perisher are: Indy Cairns, Missy Manoy, Thomas Elliot, Henry Pike, James Lahoud, Sebastian Skawrko-O'Leary, Jacqueline Lee & Hannah Williams.
Thredbo Junior Interclub
Our team did very well to come come second only 3 points behind the Ski Club of Australia - well done team and suporters.
Paddy Pallin Junior Shield
This year was the 56th year running this event.
We are very grateful experienced hand Colin Benjamin was staying at Southern Alps with his three grandchildren and was willing to help organise the races. Kim Easdale and Joan Gardner also provided excellent support.
The cross country was held in the morning on the remaining natural snow on the shaded portion of road up to turning circle at the Pass.
Charlotte Pass Ski school, led by Jill Langeveld did everything possible to ensure we could hold the alpine race - in the end we did this on Wednesday afternoon after normal lift closing time.
The race was well supported with entries from nine of the 12 lodges and the Chalet. There were only a few SASC entries because the lodge wasn't full and the Junior race team could not make the late start.
NSW Junior Alpine Champions
SASC junior skiers were awarded this prize for consistent results during the 2015 winter season.
